I came back last week from a cold but fun Park City Utah where Toribash was one of the nominated games in the game maker festival.

The festival took place at the same time as Sundance film festival which meant it was a busy little town for a week.

For those interested in the farce controversy surrounding the festival there is a pretty good write up and summary by Patrick Dugan who attended the festival (and makes a very cool arsonist game ) on Gamasutra.

Some of the nice people over at the game developer site gamasutra did a
Road to IFG interview.

IGF is a game festival that takes place in March later this year.

We did a 12 hour clan tournament this weekend. After the brawl ended two clans came out on top. Torigod and LOL.

The finals are next Saturday and both teams agreed upon Judo DM, best of 3 as rules.

Don’t miss the chance to see some of the best players in the world battle it out.

We released Toribash 2.3.

It features new stuff like Joint Fractures (joints break but don’t fall of), variable turn frames for more server types, new gory sounds and auto kicks for AFKs.

Nokturnal put together a promo trailer using the for 2.3 new “jousting” mod
